Our Story

I created NewMom, Inc. after the birth of my first baby. Feeling overwhelmed by all of the things I apparently needed yesterday, I searched for a simple solution to sorting through all of that clutter. Through my 3 weeks of tears (yes, I literally cried for the first 3 weeks, my husband was a bit concerned…) I just wasn’t in the mood to reach out for assistance. It was that feeling of uncertainty that lead me to create a business that helped moms like me deal with what was truly needed after adding a new life to your home. I wanted to focus only on businesses that made a difference in people’s lives after becoming a parent. NewMom stands behind each one of them and does not let just anyone participate

I’ve always been passionate about giving back to community. I worked as a personal care attendant for a boy with Down syndrome for many years and volunteered at the Minneapolis crisis nursery up until my own children took over my world. I brought that same passion and commitment to giving back to NewMom. From the beginning NewMom has partnered with non-profit organizations to assemble the Congratulations Gifts. It also donates profits to local children’s charities each year.
